Summer Break
I hope that everyone had a great summer break - now back to work, dammit! No really, I hope you finally finished that screenplay or put in that sod in the backyard. I hope your garden grew like gangbusters and is now delivering more tomatoes than you can cut into salsa. I hope that your computer got upgraded and that you learned to speak 100 words of Spanish. I hope you brought cash back from an exotic city or drank yourself to oblivion with giant frozen Lebowskis. I hope you took your kids swimming everyday for months or climbed up to some prehistoric cave in the foothills. I hope you're well rested and ready to get back to work. I hope you have overblown budgets that need relief, or projects of pomp and grandeur approachig Apocalypse Now or Waterworld. I hope all is well.
The 48 Hour Film Project. Once again we teamed up with our other unemployed friends to dominate the 48 Hr Film Project here in ABQ! We ended up with Sci-Fi as our genre, but thanks to Larry we made it work. She Creature from Lane 10 is a playful romp among the agendae of six writers trying to come up with a plot for the movie. Best Director/Best Editor. Yes, two years in a row Willie Ford has won Best Director in the 48 Hr. Film Project. It's a good thing I had Luis on my team. Congrats to Scotty Milder with Best Film, Sweetie. Good luck in the nationals! See you all next year, and good luck!
